Biography
Tommy was appointed as caretaker manager in September 1971 but he didn’t take over the job full-time until November of the same year. His time in charge is considered a success, winning 7 of 12 matches in charge, including a 2-1 victory over a Portugal side that included Eusebio. He was also responsible for giving a young Kenny Dalglish his debut in a 1-0 win over Belgium. In December 1972, Manchester United came calling and Tommy Docherty resigned his post with Scotland.A Squad Matches
