Biography

Appointed manager in 1973, Willie Ormond was in charge for arguably Scotland’s most successful World Cup in West Germany in 1974.  Despite being the only team in the tournament to remain undefeated, Scotland failed to progress past the first round. In May of 1977, the SFA decided a change of management was needed and Willie resigned to be appointed as manager of Hearts.
