Biography

John Campbell was born in Glasgow in 1872, and died on 2 December 1947.
A prolific forward whose goalscoring won him plentiful medals on both sides of the borde, Campbell started his senior career at Celtic in 1890 and after early success including two League Championships in 1892 and 1894 and a Scottish Cup in 1893, he moved to Aston Villa in the summer of 1894.
