Francis Haffey was born in Glasgow on 28 November 1938. A goalkeeper his two caps were both against England but there the similarity ends. His first was in a creditable 1-1 draw at Hampden while his second was in Scotland's worst ever international defeat and he will forever be associated with the latter. However at club level he had a creditable record and played over 200 games for Celtic from 1958 to 1964. He then played a season with Swindon Town but chose to emigrate to Australia where he pl
