Craig is a graduate of the Heart of Midlothian youth system. He was instrumental in their 2006 Scottish Cup triumph and was named Scottish Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year - the first Hearts recipient since Sandy Jardine in 1986 and the first goalkeeper since Andy Goram in 1993.
His form made him a Scotland regular and prompted Sunderland to pay £9m for his services.
Craig won his first cap in a 4-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago in 2004 and a series of world-class performances quickly made him a firm favourite with the Tartan Army.
