Player Bio
Walter Campbell Allison Aitkenhead born Maryhill (Glasgow) on 21 May, 1887. Died 19 July, 1966.
A creative forward, generally at inside left, who first came to attention at Partick Thistle where he made just four appearances before being transferred to Blackburn Rovers in September 1906. He spent the rest of his playing career at Ewood Park until his retirement in 1918, winning the Football League championship in 1912 and 1914. He made an immediate impact on his international debut with two goals in the first 23 minutes but was never selected again. After leaving football he was managing director of a textiles firm in Blackburn.
