Player Bio
Christophe Berra

Up until his full Scotland debut against the Czech Republic in May 2008, Christophe was eligible to play for France through his father’s French lineage.

Christophe spent six years at Heart of Midlothian, becoming the youngest captain in the SPL in season 2007/08, before signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2009 for a fee of around £3m.

Chris's most memorable experience in football so far was when Hearts won the Scottish Cup in 2006 - especially  being part of the celebrations on the open topped bus the next day.

As a youngster he admired Muhammad Ali and the French and Chelsea central defencer Marcel Desailly. Chris's advice to any young aspiring footballers would be to make sacrifices to reach the top and work hard on your weaknesses.
