Biography
David Baird was born in Silvermills, Edinburgh, on the 4th March 1869. He died on 19 March 1946.
Baird started out at a side called Sir Walter before joining local club The Primrose. The versatile forward joined Heart of Midlothian in 1888 and had 15 successful years with the Edinburgh club. He was in three Scottish Cup winning teams (1891, 1896 and 1901) and a finalist in 1903. Baird spent a season with Motherwell at the end of his playing career in season 1903/04.
