Ralph Aitken

Ralph Allan Aitken was born in Kilbarchan (Dunbartonshire) on 16 February 1863. He died on 10 January 1928.
His playing career varied between Dumbarton and Newcastle and having started in Scotland he moved to Newcastle West End in 1886, but six months later went back north and played for Dumbarton in the 1887 Scottish Cup final. He returned to West End in 1889 but had retired from football before their merger with East End to form Newcastle United in 1892.
