Biography
Walter Arnott was born in Pollokshields (Glasgow) on 12 May 1863. He died on 18 May 1931.
Probably the greatest Scottish player of the Victorian era, Arnott joined Queen's Park from Pollokshields Athletic in 1882 and remained with the famous Glasgow club until his retirement in the mid 1890s. However, he also occasionally guested for other clubs including the Corinthians, Linfield (where he won an Irish Cup medal), Newcastle West End, Notts County, St Bernard’s and once for Celtic.
