John Gilmour

John Rooney Gilmour was born in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, on 15 June, 1901. He died on 26 February, 1963. A left back, Gilmour played most of his career at Dundee, joining the Dens Park outfit in 1924 from Bathgate, and staying until 1936. He featured in the 1925 Scottish Cup final, and also made one appearance for the Scottish League select. His one international was a disappointment, as Scotland struggled to a draw against Wales at Ibrox.
