Biography
Robert Findlay was born in Galston, Ayrshire, on 29 March, 1877. He died in the USA on 13 August, 1926. Findlay had a career which was curtailed by a knee injury, but he packed in a fair bit of action nonetheless. Joining Kilmarnock in 1897 from local junior team Rugby XI, he played at outside left in the team which won the Scottish League second division title in 1897/98, and also reached the Scottish Cup Final that season, winning his solitary cap against Wales in the process.
