A Judicial Panel Tribunal convened today to consider the following case:
Name: Steve Lomas, Manager, St Johnstone FC
Match: St Johnstone v Ross County, 22nd September 2012 (Scottish Premier League)
Disciplinary Rule allegedly breached: Rule 71 (Not acting in the best interests of football by making improper and insulting comments in a media interview on or around 24 September 2012, suggesting that an opposing player in the above match cheated in order to get another player sent off).
Outcome: Two match suspension (Suspended until the end of season 2012/13, and to take effect in the event that Mr. Lomas is found in breach of any Disciplinary Rule within that period).
Rule 71: A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football. Furthermore such person or body shall not act in any manner which is improper or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive or indecent or insulting words or behaviour.
