Farmington and Scotland star turns her hand to writing

Friday, 15 June 2012

Scotland international and Forfar Farmington captain Rachael Small has demonstrated that her talents extend beyond the football pitch as she has recently began writing a column for Women's Soccer Scene magazine and website.

The 20-year-old defender penned her first column for the publication following the recent Sweden international friendly and has completed another ahead of the Euro 2013 qualifiers double-header against Israel and Republic of Ireland.

She will write her columns ahead of, and after, Scotland internationals.

Women's Soccer Scene editor Neil Brown said: "We asked Rachael if she would be interested in giving her thoughts about each international and were delighted when she said yes."

"We have operated a similar column with Jessica Fishlock for Wales internationals over the past few years and this has proved to be a very popular venture. Rachael has already contributed two excellent pieces and has a great knowledge of the game, so I am confident that her efforts will be just as successful."

You can find Rachael's column at the Women's Soccer Scene website here.
