Friday, 17 August 2012

The Scottish FA is to host its first ever Club Together Conference at Hampden Park next month aimed at offering advice and info to the army of volunteers who work at the hundreds of community clubs across the country.

Andy Gould, head of regional development at football’s governing body, said: “The Scottish FA is passionate about supporting and helping clubs to reach their goals and be the best they can be.

“To assist leaders and volunteers at clubs across the country the Scottish FA will host a conference and development day at Hampden Park on Sunday September 16 aimed at providing Scotland’s growing network of ambitious clubs with support, best practice and inspiration for the way forward.”

Andy Roxburgh, UEFA Technical Director, will be the keynote speaker.

Scottish FA Chief Executive Stewart Regan will be in attendance to discuss views on taking the game forward.

A series of workshops will include finding funds, facility development, community clubs, developing the right culture, volunteer recruitment and club PR.

There will be the chance to network with other clubs and share ideas.

Booking for this event is essential.

You can do this by completing the attached form.

Clubs are limited to two delegates each to allow as many clubs to attend as possible.
