CULTS ACADEMY WINS LLOYDS TSB SCOTLAND SCHOOL OF THE MONTH AWARD

Cults Academy has won the Lloyds TSB Scotland School of the Month Award for November.

The award, presented by Colin Hay, Lloyds TSB Scotland Bank Manager at Culter branch, was given in recognition of the school's successful participation in various Lloyds TSB Scotland competitions, with a high degree of travelling involved.

Colin Hay of Lloyds TSB Scotland, said: "Congratulations to Cults Academy for winning the Lloyds TSB Scotland School of the Month Award for November. The children have shown exceptional dedication and enthusiasm for their sport."

Brian Angus, Depute Head Teacher at Cults Academy, said: "The school is delighted to receive this award as recognition of the dedication and enthusiasm that pupils and staff display week in and week out. Our staff and pupils give up their time in mid-week and on Saturday mornings and everybody pulls together. As a school we are keen for pupils to have the opportunity to develop as individuals and representing their school in football has huge benefits."

The Lloyds TSB Scotland School of the Month Award has been introduced to recognise the achievements of primary and secondary schools taking part in the National Football competitions supported by Lloyds TSB Scotland. Each month the Scottish Schools' FA will nominate one team that has excelled in their age-group or demonstrated high standards of fair play or participation.

Lloyds TSB Scotland, proud partners of the Scottish Schools' FA, provide comprehensive support of the inter-schools' football programme in Scotland as well as to the U15 Girls and U18 Boys International Squads. Over 26,000 school children will participate in a Lloyds TSB Scotland supported programme this season.
