WALTER SMITH NAMES SCOTLAND SQUAD FOR ITALY

Tuesday, 15 March 2005

Scotland manager Walter Smith has named a 22 man squad for the World Cup qualifier in Italy next weekend.

There are recalls for Lee McCulloch and Brian O’Neil to give added strength to the midfield, with Christian Dailly and Darren Fletcher out injured. Of the players who were in Manchester for last month’s gathering, David Marshall and Derek Riordan return to the Under 21s to gain international experience, while goalkeeper Neil Sullivan also drops out.
