Scotland Under-19 coach Ricky Sbragia has named his 18-man squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying round being held at New Douglas Park and the Falkirk Stadium between 9th and 14th October.
Switzerland, Armenia and Romania will be in Scotland next month for the Group 9 mini-tournament with the top two teams progressing to the elite round to be played early next year.
Kids can gain FREE* entry (adults £5) to all of the qualifying matches with Scotland’s first fixture against Armenia on Tuesday, 9th October at New Douglas Park, home to Hamilton Academical.
Sbragia’s side then play Romania on Thursday, 11th October at the Falkirk Stadium before completing the group with a match against Switzerland at the same venue on Sunday, 14th October.
Ricky Sbragia said: “We have a lot of talented young players in this age group so picking this squad wasn’t an easy task.
“We have three tough matches next month but I am pleased with how our preparations have been going over the last few months.
“We’ve held several training camps and have acquitted ourselves well in our friendlies against Germany, Norway and the Netherlands.
“We have home advantage and I am confident the Scotland fans will be out in force when we play at New Douglas Park and the Falkirk Stadium.”
“Hopefully we can reward them with some good results and qualification for the elite round.”
