Scotland Under-19s started the UEFA European Championship Qualifiers with a convincing 7-0 victory over Liechtenstein at Revense Stadium.
In blustery conditions, it took until the 29th minute for the deadline to be broken. A breakaway from a Liechtenstein free-kick saw Scotland advance up the park before a scuffed clearance landed at the feet of Keiren Brennan who produced a wonderful solo effort, cultivating in the Celtic full-back walking the ball over the line.
The second came after good hold up play by Dale Hilson, laying the ball in to the path of James Keatings who squeezed through the Liechtenstein defence before blasting the ball in to the corner.
The young Scots raised the pace of the game in the second half and after a great run up the right-hand side by Jason Holt, he picked out team-mate Keatings with a cutback for the Celtic striker to grab his second.
Another Celt, Callum McGregor, added a fourth when the ball broke to him at the edge of the box and he curled the ball in to the far bottom corner.
Keatings completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute from the penalty spot after Stuart Armstrong was brought down in the box.
Dylan McGeouch then scored a fantastic solo effort of his own, picking the ball up wide on the right before driving in past several defenders and curling the ball in to the back of the net.
The scoring was rounded off in added time when Dale Hilson scored the goal of the match, and possibly the tournament, with a fantastic acrobatic effort.
