Scotland's hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship Finals are hanging by a thread after today's loss to Italy.
Despite an impressive 1-0 win over hosts Russia on the opening day, Scotland now sit in third place in the group, and must defeat group leaders Spain in the last match to have any chance of advancing to the finals.
Each of the captains struck in the first half. Lisa Alborghetti opened the scoring on 18 minutes, before Eilish McSorley equalised for Scotland.
Katia Coppola then scored twice to leave Shelley Kerr's side trailing 3-1 at the break.
Scotland battled back, with a Claire Emslie goal reducing the deficit, before Alborghetti grabbed her second in the final minute.
