Scotland finished fourth at the ADO Den Haag youth tournament in the Netherlands today after losing 1-0 to Cruzeiro in the 3rd/4th play-off.
A second half penalty handed the Brazilians third place in a closely-fought match between two tired sides playing their fifth game in three days.
Coach Ricky Sbragia said: "I've been really pleased with the efforts of all the players over the weekend - they've put in a lot of work.
"We are all disappointed at losing this afternoon but we only had 60 minutes between our semi-final against Mexico and this match so it was tough on the players, especially at the end of a long season.
"I must thank the tournament organisers here in Den Haag for inviting us to play and for their great hospitality.
