Friday, 30 March 2012

On the 16th March the Alva Academy cluster primary schools staged their own version of the Olympic Torch Walk.

This was to celebrate the the primary sevens who would be moving up to high school after the summer.

In order to promote girls football in the area, Leanne Ross, Jane Ross and Rhonda Jones from the Womens A squad were on hand to lift some of the torches, made by the pupils.

Over 70 pupils took part on the day from six primary schools.
