Scotland women to face England in Cyprus

Wednesday, 23 January 2013

Scotland will face England, Italy and New Zealand at the sixth annual Cyprus Women's Cup.

The match against the Auld Enemy on 8 March will be the first time the two sides have met since Kim Little marked her 50th cap with a goal in a 2-0 win at the 2011 tournament.

The Cyprus Women's Cup, organised by Scotland, England and The Netherlands in partnership with Cyprus Tourism Organisation and Erinor Tours, is established as an important event in the women's football calendar.

It started in 2008 with six teams, and has now doubled in size to include 12 teams over three groups. UEFA also use the tournament to provide training and development for female referees.

This year's tournament runs from 6-13 March in Nicosia, Larnaca and Paralimni.

Scotland will travel to Cyprus after a double-header against Olympic champions USA in Florida and Tennessee on 9 and 13 February.
