Cumbernauld Colts do their bit for charity

Tuesday, 15 December 2009

Cumbernauld Colts have rounded off a great 2009 by giving £1000 to charity.

The donation was split between two charities, with £600 going to the Scottish Spina Bifida Association, and with a donation from Burdens Ltd and funding matched by Scottish Power, a further £400 went to Craighalbert Centre in Cumbernauld.

The Scottish Spina Bifida Association helps support people with spina bifida and related illnesses, including a helpline service and a family support centre in Cumbernauld.

The Craighalbert Centre provides schooling and services for children and families affected by cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions.

The money was raised by hardworking parents and coaches who ran the Cumbernauld 10k on 13th September, so congratulations to all those involved.

Cumbernauld Colts are the Central Region's only Community level Quality Mark club and they are currently looking for coaches for their U21 age group and their amateur side.
