Tuesday, 24 April 2012

The Scottish FA’s girls’ and women’s football development officer in the east region Sam Milne offered her hospitality to two Zambian citizens at the recent Scotland women’s international match with Republic of Ireland.

The gesture was made in support of the Friends of EduSport charity and Tynecastle was the first stadium they had visited.

Sam said:"Friends of EduSport is a great charity which looks to educate, empower and inspire young people to develop their commuinities through sport in the UK, Zambia and many other countries.

"The charity uses sport to teach and educate young people life skills and to support their development academically allowing them to make a difference in their community.

"Gregory and Susan were over in the UK to share ideas and network with the partners of Friend of EduSport in Scotland and had the opportunity to take in the game.

"They thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and it was certainly pleasing for me to see the contribute to having one of the biggest crowds we have had at our women's national team games."
