Inter-Association Sevens

Primary Inter-Association Sevens 2012-13

The first event of the season took place on Wednesday 28th November at Ravenscraig Indoor Arena, Motherwell, 12.00-4.00.  See photos.

The second event took place on Thursday 7th March at Toryglen Indoor Arena, Glasgow.  See photos.

The third event will take place outdoors on Wednesday 15th May at Meggetland, Edinburgh, at 11.00.

This season there are eight Associations taking part, each with an A and a B team.  Each team plays six games in each event.

The Associations taking part are :

Aberdeen, Angus, Dumfries & Galloway, Dundee, East Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth & Kinross.

The third event took place on grass on Tuesday 22nd May at Meggetland, Edinburgh.  See photos.

The second event took place on Monday 5th March at Toryglen Indoor Arena, Glasgow, 12.00-4.00.

Primary Inter-Association Sevens 2010-11

Eight participating Associations played in three separate festivals, the first two indoors and the third outdoors.

Each Association took part with an A and a B team, playing three games each in 1st Phase sections, followed by three more games against teams of a similar standard in the 2nd Phase sections.
 

Every team played 6 games of 12 minutes each per day, so could meet most of the other teams throughout the course of the season.

The Associations taking part were :

Edinburgh, Dumfries & Galloway, Paisley, Dundee, East Ayrshire, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Angus

The first festival took place at Ravenscraig in Motherwell on Thursday 3rd February.  With the heavy snow in early December disrupting the original plans for holding the event at Ravenscraig, the long-awaited first meeting of all the teams was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The second festival took place indoors at Toryglen on Monday 14th March 2011 (12.00-4.00).

The third festival took place outdoors on a mainly sunny day (with one shower) at Wardie in Edinburgh on Friday 13th May 2011 (12.00-4.00).
