Job Description - School Football Representative
 


 The School Football Representative :
 

  • acts as the principal point of contact for a school for communications from governing bodies, other schools and clubs as appropriate and for providing them with information, as appropriate

 

  • co-ordinates football activities within the school, including coaching sessions, fixtures and nomination of pupils for select trials

 

  •  is responsible for ensuring that all players and adults are aware of the schools' football code of conduct

 

  •  in collaboration with the Rector, acts as Child Protection Officer for football in the school, ensuring appropriate practices and procedures are in place and that volunteer helpers from outwith the school have appropriate clearance from Disclosure Scotland

 

  •  in collaboration with the Rector, acts as Health & Safety Co-ordinator for football in the school, including ensuring that appropriate risk assessments have been carried out in accordance with school and Local Authority policy

 

  •  acts as volunteer officer for football in the school, being a focus for the recruitment and retention of volunteers to assist in the running of football in the school

 

  •  acts as coach co-ordinator, principally in ensuring that coaches in the school have knowledge of Coach Education opportunities as they arise

 

  •  co-ordinates the compilation and monitoring of the schools' Football Development Plan.
