Scotland continue Cyprus Women's Cup campaign

Thursday, 01 March 2012

Scotland face the Netherland's in Nicosia this afternoon in the second match of their Cyprus Women's Cup campaign. They will be hoping to improve on a disappointing 5-1 defeat to a strong Canada side in their opening match.

Despite a positive first-half performance in which Glasgow City forward Jane Ross cancelled out Kelly Parker's 6th minute opener, Sophie Schmidt put Canada ahead again before the break. Canada, who are ranked 7th in the world, then went on to seal their win with three second-half goals.

You can catch up with all the results from the tournament so far and track Scotland's progress at the Scottish FA website or the Cyprus Women's Cup 2012 homepage.

We wish them the best of luck for the match!
