Weekend Preview: Henson Scottish Cup 1st Round

This weekend sees Henson Scottish Cup first round ties taking place the length and breadth of the country as the path to this year's final begins.

SWF are delighted that Henson Projects has continued to support the competition following last season's successful partnership.

Several clubs will make long journeys for their first round match. Caithness Ladies, who are competing in the competition for the first time, travel to Edinburgh to take on Hibs Reserves, while Luthermuir WFC head south for their clash against Paisley Saints Ladies.

Heading in the opposite direction are Queen's Park, who face Moray, and Glasgow Girls who take on Stonehaven.

There are also two battles of the reserves in prospect as Hamilton Reserves host Spartans Reserves and Aberdeen FCL Reserves welcome Celtic Reserves to the north-east.

Elsewhere, Troon host Falkirk FC, while Dee Ladies travel to Glasgow to take on Glasgow City Reserves.

Two of the clubs that successfully progressed to the first round via the preliminary round are Kilwinning and Aidrie United, who face ties against EK FC Galaxy and Dumfries respectively.
