Disciplinary

9 July 2017

NESWFA v Invercairn United

Invercairn played an unregistered player in a cup tie, and they were disqualified by the NESWFA disciplinary committee and their place taken by their opponents.

NESWFA rules (76) state that the person has to take actually to the field of play in order to invoke the rule, and the player in question did not enter the field of play at any time. Therefore their appeal is upheld and they be reinstated to their local cup competition.

Outcome – Appeal upheld

NESWFA v Crimond FC

Crimond were deducted 3 points for fielding a player who was signed to another club as a trialist. The NESWFA Disciplinary committee state it is the responsibility of the club to ensure all players are clear and eligible to play - appeal to have points reinstated was not upheld.

Outcome – Appeal Not Upheld
