Biography
Capable of operating in midfield or as a striker, Murray was scouted by Carson- Newman College whilst playing for Scotland at under-17 level, earning a scholarship to the Tennessee institution. The Bellshill-born attacker scored six goals during her time in Jefferson City, before returning to Scotland to join Celtic in 2007.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed spells at Glasgow City, Arsenal – where she was signed by current SWNT head coach Shelley Kerr – Doncaster Rovers Belles and Liverpool. Murray started Scotland's first ever match at a Women's World Cup, against England.
