Category Seven Referee

A referee who has passed part 3 of the Introductory Referee Course set by the Scottish FA, has completed the recognised Disclosure Scotland checks, and has been accepted as a member of a Referees' Association.

The Category 7 Referee will maintain this classification for a maximum of 12 months from the date of acceptance into their Referees' Association before being re-classified by the Referees' Association manager.     

A Category 7 Referee can officiate in the following grades of football:

• Scottish Amateur FA
• Scottish Youth FA
• Scottish Welfare FA
• Scottish Schools FA
• Club Academy Scotland Football
