Course Aim | On completion of the course, the candidate will be better equipped to be able to: • Deliver training sessions to teams of youth/Adult players • This 30-hour course is designed for coaches working with youth and adult players (age 13+) and provides a recognised qualification. The course comprises three practical components; conducting a training session, shaping a team and individual programme. This course is a pre-requisite for candidates wishing to enrol on the UEFA B Licence. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced check by Disclosure Scotland undertaken by the Association. **Please note the C Licence is not UEFA accredited |

Admission Criteria/ Prerequisites | In order to be considered for the Scottish FA C Licence Course, candidates must have as a minimum: • Scottish FA Level 1.3 (Coaching in the Game) Award completed within the past three years OR • Scottish FA Level 1.3 (Coaching in the Game) Award that has been kept valid through completion of appropriate CCD accreditation AND • Scottish FA Children’s Wellbeing in Scottish Football award completed within the past three years AND • A fully completed and cleared PVG check administered by Scottish FA Coach Education prior to course commencement, but within the past three years |
Overseas/ International Candidates | Overseas/ international candidates must submit: • Evidence of equivalent National Association Coach Education award (as well as evidence of appropriate CPD/ CCD accreditation, if applicable) • Coaching & Playing/ Football CV AND • Must have sufficient written and oral skills in the English Language |
Course Duration | 30 hours |
Assessment | As an absolute minimum, course candidates are expected to attain 100% attendance during course hours, and must complete all tasks and assignments to a satisfactory level, within the specified deadline(s). There will be a minimum of 9 hours of assessment (practical and theory). Candidates will also present a final thesis of their course learning. Candidates who fail the course can undertake a Re-Assessment once a period of 4 months has past. There is a charge of £120 for Re-Assessments. |

Payment | Payment must be made online, at the time of booking, assuming all of the above pre-requisites have been met. Spaces are only confirmed once payment has been processed. |
Cost Inclusive | Access to the Scottish FA Live Learning Management System (LMS), including all course notes and materials; tuition fees. |
Additional Information | During practical components of the course, all course candidates will be expected to participate in football-related activity for the full duration of the course. The Scottish FA Live LMS will be utilised for the dissemination of all course materials and information; candidates are expected to check the LMS regularly for updates and notifications. |
Course Completion | On successful completion of the Scottish FA C Licence course, candidates will receive the Scottish FA ‘C’ Licence. |
Licence Validity | The Scottish FA C Licence must be kept valid by accruing accredited Scottish FA Continuous Coach Development (CCD) every three years. |
