20 coaches including Peter Lovenkrands, Maurice Ross, Jon Daly and John Rankin all took part in a week of learning where they heard from guest speakers such as Dundee United manager Robbie Neilson and former Celtic goalkeeper Packie Bonner. Brighton technical director Dan Ashworth spoke to the group about his job and the group also conducted a media-training workshop. Paterson said: “Face-to-face learning is obviously important but everyone on the Pro Licence has adapted and that culminated in an extremely well structured week where both participants and presenters embraced the online learning environment. “There are a lot of positives that can be gained from delivering the courses online as opposed to in person. “Robbie Neilson was excellent and extremely honest with everyone which was refreshing. “The technology also allowed for the Pro Licence participants to present themselves with Russell Martin talking about his first three months in charge of MK Dons.” The Coach Education department are continuing to plan and deliver online courses up until September with the following set to begin in the coming months: UEFA A Licence, UEFA B Licence, UEFA Elite Youth A Licence, Talent ID, Goalkeeping Coaching courses and Performance Analysis.
