Ukranian owner Yuriy Kachak was moved by the support from hundreds of Scots as the bakery raised an incredible £87,000 so far.

The Scottish FA showed their support to Yuriy and the team at Deanston Bakery by stopping by the Southside shop to surprise the staff with a match shirt signed by Steve Clarke's squad to be used in auction to help raise further funds.

Furthermore, every staff member was given a ticket to Scotland's match against Poland on Thursday which aims to raise money for UNICEF's response in Ukraine.

Yuriy said: "A lot of people want to help. It started with a bake sale and raffle tickets and we managed to reach £36,000. Then a very generous donor came on board and matched that total so we doubled our figure.

"It's sad and I wish we didn't have to do it. For the first two weeks I felt a bit lost. I don’t really know what to do but doing something keeps you busy. You feel anger and a certain element of guilt. Many people feel like that but you do what you can to help."

Since receiving the signed shirt, they have auctioned it to raise a further £500 to their already incredible total.
