The ceremony was held at Falkirk Town Hall in March 09 and over 150 sportspeople were in attendance and saw awards
presented for Individual, Coaching and Team sporting excellence. This was the first time in 16 years that any of the Falkirk Ladies teams had been nominated so their representatives on the night, Alison Mackie and Fiona Melville were very surprised but pleased to be announced as winners of the ‘Team of the Year’ category. Up against teams representing sports such as basketball, football, gymnastics and athletics, players Aimee Thomson and Corri Cairns accepted the award on behalf of the team.
Coach Fiona Melville said at the ceremony “We are very happy to receive this award as it is a culmination of a few
seasons hard work and recognition of the excellent opportunities we have for girls at Falkirk Ladies”
