We can confirm that the third-party involved is a subscription-based email provider and we are working closely with the provider to establish the cause of the breach.
Anyone in receipt of the email should delete it immediately and we recommend that anyone who may have opened it run a virus scan of their computer.
The Scottish FA takes the security of data very seriously and we have conducted a review of all internal protocols and security measures.
We would like to offer assurances that no bank or credit details have been shared.
