A number of issues were debated, including divisional size, number of leagues, play-offs, pyramid and commercial considerations.
Talks will continue over the coming months with a view to agreeing the best way forward for the game as a whole.
A PGB spokesperson confirmed: “There is a commitment to build on the good work carried out earlier this year and to try and bring a plan back to the table in the coming months.”
The PGB consists of Rod Petrie, Campbell Ogilvie and Stewart Regan from the Scottish FA, Neil Doncaster, Peter Lawwell and Ralph Topping from the Scottish Premier League, Jim Ballantyne and David Longmuir from the Scottish Football League, and Sandy Stables from the Highland Football League.
