The inservice featured a session on technical development by Ian Cathro, whose innovative approach to coaching has led to the creation of a new system of 'Box Soccer'.
His system was displayed by the U15 Girls Central Region Squad, nine of whom have just been selected to play for Scotland in the forthcoming International match against Wales on Tuesday 3rd November.
The inservice also featured presentations to the two latest clubs to acheive a Quality Mark Award, Seafar Villa Cumbernauld FC and Milan Boys Club.
Milan has three teams whilst Seafar Villa boasts 14 teams from the U5s age group through to U18s.
McDonald’s, official partner of the Scottish FA Quality Mark Accreditation Scheme, will invest £100,000 in the scheme over three years as part of its ongoing commitment to grassroots football in Scotland.
The Quality Mark scheme is supported by the Big Lottery Fund, which contributes to the employment of all Scottish FA club development staff, as well as discounted coach education and first aid courses for grassroots volunteers.
