The action began with two early kick-offs as Drumchapel, in their debut Scottish Cup season, secured a famous 1-0 victory over Edinburgh, while Hamilton comfortably saw off Lowland League side East Kilbride 4-0.
16 matches followed at 3pm, with Darvel producing one of the performance of the day as they saw of League One Montrose 5-2 in an entertaining encounter at Links Park.
University of Stirling also grabbed the headlines as they became the first ever university side to reach the Fourth Round of the competition. Euan McGill grabbed an extra-time winner as they saw off Albion Rovers 1-0 at The Reigart Stadium.
Cove Rangers were the day's high-scorers - with Gerry McDonagh scoring four goals - as they beat Dunipace 7-0, while Falkirk enjoyed a 6-0 victory away to Wick Academy.

The Round Four draw will take place live on BBC Scotland following the conclusion of Ayr United's match against Pollok on Monday.
