Scottish Gas Men’s Scottish Cup format and composition finalised ahead of 2026/2027 season

The format and composition of the 2026/2027 edition of the Scottish Gas Men’s Scottish Cup has now been confirmed, ahead of the first and second Preliminary Round Draws which will take place from 7pm on Monday, 29 June, on the Scottish Cup Youtube Channel.

The final will take place on Saturday, 22 May 2027, with the Semi-Finals scheduled for the weekend of Saturday, 17 April and Sunday, 18 April.

Owing to the increased number of licensed clubs competing, there will be three Preliminary Rounds for this season’s competition, with the action getting underway on Saturday, 1 August.

Preliminary Round One will consist of five matches, with the other 35 sides entering at this stage receiving byes to Preliminary Round Two, which will see 20 ties played across the weekend of Saturday, 22 August.

The First Round will take place on Saturday, 3 October, while the Premiership sides will enter as normal in the Fourth Round, which is scheduled for Saturday, 16 January 2027.

2011 Scottish Cup winner Mark Wilson will conduct the draw Preliminary Round Draw, alongside host Adam Binnie.
