This festival was to commemorate the closing of the highly successful McDonalds Programme that has been running in the schools since February.
The event was held at Celtic Football Clubs training HQ in Lennoxtown where both boys and girls from all over the region came together in a football frenzy. The day ran from 10am to 2:30pm, and comprised of fun game stations in the morning including some of the skills challenge activities, followed by festival based games in the afternoon.
Scott Murray, Assistant Football Development Officer for East Dunbartonshire commented “It is pleasing to see so many pupils come together and have the opportunity to take part in this event at such a wonderful facility. Despite the weather, the kids and teachers alike have enjoyed their day and it’s great to see them go away with a smile on their faces.”
