The Scots, who defeated Croatia 2-1 away from home last year, face a difficult test against one of the top nations in Europe.
The match will kick-off at 7pm on Friday, 27 March in Edinburgh as Scotland continue their bid for qualification.
Head Coach Scot Gemmill said: "Tynecastle is a fantastic stadium with excellent facilities, one which we’re familiar with and it presents another fantastic opportunity for our young players.
“We face a difficult challenge hosting Croatia. Away from home we showed resolve and character to come back from a goal down and win, but we know we will be facing a talented side in Edinburgh later this month.
“I speak often about our players testing themselves against different types of teams and players, Croatia is a great example of that type of test due to their rich history in producing talented players at international level.”
