Biography
Scott Bain made his professional debut for Elgin City during the 2010/11 season while on loan from parent club Aberdeen.

He signed for Alloa Athletic the following year and helped the club to consecutive promotions before joining Dundee in 2014.

After three-and-a-half years with Dundee, Bain signed for Celtic on loan in January 2018 before making the move permanent at the end of the season.

The goalkeeper won fourteen domestic honours with Celtic over a seven-year period with the club before moving to newly promoted Falkirk in the summer of 2025.

He played a key role with his new club as Falkirk finished in the Scottish Premiership top six during their first season back in Scotland’s top flight.

At international level, Bain received his first senior Scotland call-up in May 2015 as cover for the injured Allan McGregor, recognising his excellent form at club level with Dundee at the time.

He was recalled to the national squad in the summer of 2018, making his debut during a friendly against Mexico, earning two further caps in March 2019 during EURO 2020 qualifiers against Kazakhstan and San Marino.

Bain was recalled to the Scotland squad in November 2025, before making his fourth appearance for his country during a friendly against Cote d’Ivoire in March 2026.
