Emslie joined Everton on loan ahead of the 2020/21 season, making the move permanent in December 2020. The forward moved back to the USA after two years with Everton to sign for Angel City FC and became the club’s all-time leading goal scorer in August 2024. At international level, Emslie made her debut as a substitute during a 3-2 friendly victory over Iceland in June 2013. Her second cap followed three-and-a-half years later against Denmark in 2017 with her first international goal following on her third cap during a 3-0 victory over Hungary. Emslie was part of the Scotland side that qualified for their first ever World Cup in 2019 and scored her country’s first ever goal at the tournament during the opening match against England. The forward joined the Scotland International Roll of Honour in February 2023 after winning her 50th cap during a Pinatar Cup match against Wales.
