A football development officer vacancy has emerged in West Dunbartonshire.
As West Dunbartonshire Leisure’s Football Development Officer, you will be responsible for the strategic direction for football in West Dunbartonshire in partnership with Sports Development, facility management and Scottish FA colleagues.
The successful candidate will be required to enhance the existing comprehensive Football Development Scheme by further developing football opportunities through a sustainable infrastructure that meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders in West Dunbartonshire.
The development of local clubs and coach education structures is also a key responsibility in order to enhance the quality of football activity across the local authority.
You should have proven experience of developing football within a local authority environment to a very high standard.
You are required to possess the Scottish FA Coaching Licence, be educated to degree level or HND with equivalent experience in a similar position.
You need to be highly self-motivated, imaginative, display leadership and have an enthusiastic manner.
It is essential that you can demonstrate your ability to work within deprived areas, under pressure and with all people no matter their ability, background or additional support requirements.
You need to demonstrate that you are able to effectively communicate with the public, manage staff and resolve any challenging situations in an efficient manner.
It is also desirable that you have access to a car for business use and be in possession of a current driving licence.
