What: Scottish FA Coach Education CPD Event
Where: Toryglen Football Centre (11-1pm) and Hampden Park Auditorium (2-4pm)
When: Sunday, 28th February
The former Valencia Head Coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, will be the keynote speaker at next week’s Scottish FA Coach Education seminar at Toryglen Football Centre and Hampden Park, Glasgow.
The Continuous Professional Development event is open to all Scottish FA coaching licence / diploma holders and will provide four hours of CPD.
The Portuguese undertook his UEFA Pro Licence with the Scottish FA, where he formed a positive coaching bond with Ian Cathro. The graduates joined forces for the first time in management at Rio Ave in Nuno’s native country, taking the club to both domestic cup finals in their second season and ensuring Europa League qualification for the first time in the process.
Their success paved the way for a move to Valencia in 2014 and Santo’s presentation will focus on that rapid journey from Largs to La Liga.
A practical session on the technical variations experienced in Portugal and Spain will take place at Toryglen from 11am until 1pm. Thereafter, Nuno will explore his adaptation of the popular 4-3-3 formation and the external pressures of management in La Liga in a theory session in Hampden Park’s Lomond Suite from 2pm until 4pm.
A buffet lunch will be served at Toryglen and the event costs £24 per head.
