It was a weather-hit Second Round weekend, with twelve ties succumbing to the freezing January temperatures. However those matches that did beat the cold weather more than entertained.
The Headlines
Friday night's match under the Hampden floodlights saw the battle of the Queens, as Queen's Park hosted Queen of the South. Goals from Willie Gibson, Aidan Fitzpatrick and Connor Shields saw the Doonhamers into Sunday's Third Round draw.
A Ryan Strachan free-kick late, late on in the game saw Paul Hartley's Cove Rangers side seal victory over his old club Alloa. It was an end-to-end encounter, which finished 3-2 to the visitors.
Tranent Juniors opened the scoring away to East Fife, before a second-half blitz of goals from the home side saw them seal their place in Sunday's draw.
Linlithgow Rose took Forfar Athletic to extra time, but the League One side proved to be too strong for The Rose, with three goals in the first period of extra time.
It was a close affair between Fraserburgh and Banks O'Dee, but strikes from Scott Barbour and Lewis Duncan saw the Broch win through.
The first evening kick-off saw Kelty Hearts face Stranraer at Stark's Park. Goals from Nathan Austin and Kallum Higginbotham saw Kelty lead at the break. Stranraer's second-half comeback culminated with Ruari Paton scoring from the spot with the last kick of the match.
In Saturday night's televised match, Dens Park played host to a dramatic encounter, as Dundee equalised in the last minute of injury time to take Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic into extra time.
Despite Bonnyrigg taking the lead again in extra time, Dundee fought back to seal a 3-2 victory and progress to the Third Round.
