The Scottish FA and The Chiliz Group - the world's leading blockchain provider for the sports and entertainment industry - have announced a landmark partnership that will see the Scottish national team launch their official Fan Token™ on the Socios.com fan engagement platform.

The agreement positions the national team alongside the likes of Argentina, Portugal and Italy. This collaboration will influence how the national team connects with a global fanbase, leveraging digital innovation to foster a closer, more interactive community for supporters.

Brendan Napier, Commercial Director, Scottish Football Marketing said: "We are renowned for having some of the most loyal and passionate supporters in football.

"It's something we celebrate but will never take for granted, which is why we constantly challenge ourselves, internally as an organisation, over the adjustments we can make to enhance the fan experience.

"Whether that's within the confines of Barclays Hampden or digitally, across our platforms.

“We are looking forward to working with Socios to see how we can develop our digital approach and we are in good company, when you look at some of the other nations who are already onboard.

"This is an exciting period for the Scotland National Teams, and the Scottish FA in general. We’re pleased that Socios recognise that and want to be part of the journey.”

Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com, added: "Scottish fandom represents one of the most historic and passionate football cultures on the planet, which is why we are delighted to welcome the Scottish FA to our ever growing roster of prestigious international teams.

“Through the Scotland Fan Token, fans can experience a more immersive and interactive digital connection with the team, elevating their world-renowned fervor for the game. As this Summer’s World Cup approaches, we are committed to building a global community where fans have a voice and a unique connection to their national teams.”
