A fantastic 56 goals were scored on First Round Saturday in the William Hill Scottish Cup – a total that rises to 62 with Friday's tie between Inverurie Loco Works and Fraserburgh included. The total could still rise with tomorrow's match between the University of Stirling and Keith.

The highest scorers of the day were the First Round featured match hosts, Gala Fairydean Rovers as they put six past Lossiemouth. It was a debut to remember for on loan Hibernian striker Ruari Paton as he hit a hat-trick and was named as William Hill Man of the Match.

Paton sits joint top of the Top Scorer table, alongside Edusport Academy's Scott McLaughlin, as he scored all three goals in Edusport's 3-1 victory over Buckie Thistle.

One of the most notable results of the day comes from Rothes' 4-0 win over Clachnacuddin. Not only did Rothes book a place in the Second Round draw, but this was their first ever win in the Scottish Cup at the 23rd time of asking.

University of Stirling and Keith will go head-to-head on Sunday – the match takes place at Forthbank with a 3pm kick-off.
